What the Boy Scouts found

 

Shortly after restoring the foundation of the mill and allowing the river to once again travel through the mill, a local Boy Scout Troop had a very interesting and bizarre discovery..............

 

 

 

The Scouts had adopted the stream below the dam and annually picked trash and other debris from its banks.  In the first spring that water again flowed through the mill, the Scouts found a jar with a human finger in it.  It was turned in to the local police and eventually ended up in the state crime lab.  Nothing of significance was ever discovered about the jar and its strange contents.  It was speculated that it may have been flushed out from under the mill after water was allowed to go through the turbine again.  It remains a mystery to this day!!!..........Sorry, no pictures available.
